Sportman's Warehouse (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays)

This is the time of year we have our booth inside of Sportsman's Warehouse. We have upcoming raffles for an Bushmaster 223 , Yukon Gold Gun Safe, and a $500.00 Sportsman's Warehouse Gift Card . Raffles will be starting up once again in May. Look forward to seeing you there!










 Stone Sculpture was donated to our foundation in order to raise money for a childs special adventure. Thanks to the Pena Family they purchased this beautiful piece at the SFW Albuquerque Banquet .

AdventureBound Outdoors TV Show

Rob & Lise the Directors of the Children's Outdoor Adventure Foundation have been asked to be the hosts of the AdventureBound Outdoors TV Show airing on Channel 2 KASA-FOX on Sundays at 6:00 am. The start date still has to be determined. Please show your support for our foundation by watching the show. During the first season we will be intergrading our videos of our special needs outdoor adventures, as well as other New Mexico hunters adventures that have been chosen to participate with our special needs kids.




Other Exciting News:

We have started the construction on our outdoor fishing pond and enclosure. Do to more then generous donations of rock, railroad ties, pipe fence, and pond liner we are well on or way. We have started the wheelchair paths and currently working with the Edgewood Water Conservation District on the water collection system and final designs of the fishing pond. It is a colaberation of many individuals and Governmental Offices here in New Mexico. We have also been blessed with a donation of animals for the special needs familes to come up and view and enjoy!!!

Bull Elk Drawing Winner


Chad Heller came out all the way from Alaska for this hunting adventure. The hunt was donated to Sportsman's Warehouse by our foundation in honor of them being our Title Sponsor. The drawing was offered by all the stores and Chad's wife was the one that entered his name for this Bull Elk adventure outside the Mora area in October. We would like to thank Peter Romero and Brandon Roper of Sierra Blanca Outfitters for their excellent guiding and hunting experience.

Ben Wolfe came out all the way from Twin Falls, Idaho for this hunting adventure. The hunt was donated to Sportsman's Warehouse by our foundation in honor of them being our Title Sponsor. The drawing was offered by all the stores employees all over the country and Ben was the lucky winner. This Elk adventure took place outside the Cimmeron, NM area in January. We would like to thank Rodney Prince of Rawhide Outfitters for this excellent  hunting experience.

Justin Headrick came out all the way from Rossville, GA for this hunting adventure. The hunt was donated to Sportsman's Warehouse by our foundation in honor of them being our Title Sponsor. The drawing was offered by all the stores employees all over the country and Justin was the lucky winner. This Ram adventure took place outside Mountainair, NM area in April. We would like to thank Mike Brazil & Jonathan Lujan of Arrowhead Exotics for the excellent guiding and hunting experience.






Upcoming Events for 2012 Season

Exotic Ram Hunts

Last year was the first year we ventured out and started taking the special needs children out for these hunts. We had such a great time last year that we have planned on offering (10) Exotic Ram hunts this year. We look forward to all the upcoming hunt adventures.




Elk Hunts

Vermejo park Ranch has once again given us (2) two cow elk tags for this upcoming hunt season in January. We look forward to taking several special needs families on this outdoor adventure. We always enjoy the beautiful ranch and staying at the Whittington Center.



Whitetail Hunts


Once again we have been offered (10) deer hunts in the Clayton area by the Brockman Ranch. We have had such a blast with the families and camping out the past couple years.

Also we have been offered once again a whitetail tag for the Lindrith area from the Price Ranch. Our hunter Jacklyn harvested a very nice deer last year. We had a fun time camping close to the ranch.



Turkey Hunts 

This will be the first with our special needs children. These hunts have also been provided by the Brockman Ranch in Clayton. We look forward to the new adventures ahead of us this year.


We are waiting to hear to see if several antilope and a barbary sheep tag will be donated as well.







 Events Happening Throughout (2011)



Tanoan Country Club Charity Golf Tournaments



Tanoan Country Club has offered to host (2) two Charity Golf Tournaments for us this year. The first on July 25th and the second on September 19th. We would love to see you there. Please contact us if you are interested in playing, being a sponsor or just volunteering for the event.



Tanoan Pool Party (May)



Tanoan Country Club has offered their swimming pool for a special pool party for our Foundation. We will be allowed to have 100 individuals attend. This includes our special needs children along with their families and other special needs families from other foundations we are currently working with. If you know of a child with a physical disability or a life-threatening medical condition 17 years of age and under please refer this child to our foundation. We would love for the child and their family to attend this fun filled event. We will be providing hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks. Please bring sunscreen, towels and a hat. Looking forward to seeing you there!



Exotic Ram Hunts

We ventured out for the first time on an Exotic Ram hunt in the East Monzano Mountains this past March. The entire family enjoyed the adventure including the Grandparents. The Ram was harvested the very first day, therefore we ended up taking the family on the Tram as well as a visit to the zoo. it was an incredible time had by all.

We have (3) three upcoming ram hunts scheduled for January.

Elk Hunts

We have another bull elk hunt donated in Northern, NM (Unit 46). This will be  an exciting hunt for all!

Antelope Hunts

We were excited to be able to offer (7) seven antelope hunts in August through a generous donation from the Wells family, but do to the drought it was decided to wait until next season.


WHITETAIL Hunts

In the Clayton area we have (15) Whitetail hunts upcoming late in the season. Last year we had (40) forty individuals in camp. What an incredible time we all had! Thank you Randleman & Eberhart Families for pitching in on the cooking!!!


We have other hunts pending for other species as well. We will be updating the hunts as final arrangements are made.





2010 Adventure Season


Antelope Hunt - Springer

Our foundation was out in the Springer area August 21 & 22 on an antelope hunt sponsored by Sportman Fish & Wildlife. A well deserving 14 year old was the special needs child hunting along with family members close by. The hunting adventure was enjoyed by all.


Buffalo Hunt

What a great time we had in Wyoming! The weather was very cold for all and our special needs child along with his Father and Brother harvested a Bull Buffalo with a Crossbow. What an incredible hunt that was!!!!


Annual Elk Hunts     

   Our third annual Vermejo Park Ranch Elk hunts in January were a blast. We have been lucky enough to have been given (5) five of the cow elk hunts for our special needs children. These are always fun and adventurous hunts and have life long memories to be never forgotten.


Other Events in the Plans

We are working on arranging helicopter, balloon, and train adventures and many others.


Donated Hunts for Raffle

Also we would like you to know that hunts are donated to our Foundation for raffle  as well as donations to our special needs children. The raffled hunts are offered to anyone in the public. The hunts have been donated in order for the proceeds to go to our Foundation in order to sponsor upcoming adventures for our special needs children.


Sponsor Hunts

Hunts are given to our Foundation Sponsors. Without their sponsorship a lot of these special needs adventures would not be available. One of the privileges of our sponsors is a hunt that is provided according to which sponsorship is chosen, as well they can hunt with one of our special needs children if that is their wish.

Antelope Hunts

We are fortunate to have been given several antelope hunts this year in July donated by the Wells Family. We are on pins and needles waiting to receive final word on how many tags we will receive. With the drought the numbers of Doe Antelope with Fawns has dropped tremendously, so we will keep everyone updated on the hunts available.
